Between August and September of 2021, in partnership with Upwave (formerly Survata), a marketing analytics company based in San Francisco, California, iBASEt commissioned independent market research. The objective was to survey a random sample of at least 200 decision-makers within the complex discrete manufacturing industry.
Specific industry representation was as follows: aerospace & defense (8%); medical device (22%); industrial equipment (35%); electronics (32%) and shipbuilding (3%). Respondents included managers and above. Notably, 47% were managers or senior managers while 30% were C-level executives, or presidents/CEOs.
